The GHD Chronos, Platinum and GHD Platinum Plus are extremely difficult to work on, are easily damaged whilst being manipulated and even a mains cable change should not be undertaken unless you have excellent skills in this type of repair.

Unless your mains cable is clearly physically damaged replacing it is not going to help!
