If you wish to send your Hair Straighteners away for repair then can offer a repair service for all major brands of Hair Straightener including GHD, Gorgeous, FHI and Kodo Creative.

The service costs a flat rate of £24.94 and this price includes all electrical parts, labour, packaging and 1st class recorded return postage. The only thing that is not included is if any replacement arms are required, for example if the hinge is broken. These will be charged at £10 each (we will contact you once we have inspected your GHDs and worked out what is required). Other than that there are no other costs. All genuine GHD (including the GHD3, 3.1b, SS (wide), SS2, MS, 4.0B, 4.1B, 4.2B, 4.2B, SS4.0, MS4.0) can be repaired. All repair work comes with a 3 month warranty.

All repairs will be returned with a free heat mat to protect you and your furniture after you have used your straighteners.

The process for sending your Straighteners for repair involves three simple steps:

Step 1

Decide how you would like to pay. We have 3 options:

1) Click the "Buy Now" button below and make payment with your credit card, debit card or Paypal.

2) Include a cheque or postal order for £24.94 payable to "Ion Originals".

3) Write your credit or debit card details on the form in step 3 for offline processing.

Step 2

Print off and complete your returns form - repair_returns_form.pdf. If you don't have access to a printer please include all the details required on the form by hand. If you can't open the form, the information you should include when sending us your straighteners is listed here.

Step 3

Send your faulty straighteners with your completed repair return form to the repair centre. You can download and print an address label here. A recorded postal delivery service is recommended.

Please Note:

All repairs are handled by Ion Originals Ltd on behalf of GHD-Repair.co.uk. If you have any queries regarding this service please call 0845 299 8759 or email gary@ghd-repair.co.uk.
Your irons should be returned to you within 3-5 working days from the day you post them. Often repairs are done even quicker than that.
In the unlikely event that your GHDs are beyond repair you will be refunded in full or you will be offered an alternative.
Please do not send in fake GHDs - they cannot be repaired using this service and you may be charged for return postage costs. If you suspect that your ghds could be fake then please contact us and we should be able to tell you.

FAQ

How do I know you are genuine and will do a good job?
We are a professional outfit who operate from a dedicated warehouse workshop. We don't do the repairs in the spare bedroom like some people advertising their services online! We have various ways for customers to post feedback on our services - via our forum, via email or by adding reviews to products on our shop (for example click on the reviews tab here or here). All this feedback is unprompted from happy customers!
Can you fix FHI straighteners?
Yes we can! Just follow the procedure above and send them off as if they were GHDs.
Can you fix Georgeous straighteners?
Yes we can! Just follow the procedure above and send them off as if they were GHDs.
Can you fix a brand of straightener that has not been mentioned on this page?
Probably! We can fix most hair straighteners with no problem. If we can't repair them for any reason, then we'll return them and give you a full refund.
Can I pay by Cheque or Postal Order?
