Why are my GHD's flashing red?

Depending on the model you have this can be perfectly normal behaviour or it may indicate a fault.

For example, on the older 3.1b model the LED will flicker on and off at a varying speed when the irons are at the correct temperature.

On the 4.2b model the LED will flash on and off at a consistent speed when the irons are at the correct temperature.

However, on the GHD S7N421 Gold and S7N421 Max irons a flashing red LED will indicate a failure of some sort and the irons will generally not heat up. In this situation they will need repairing. Please consider using our Repair Service or reading our Repair Guides.
