pink ghd 4.0

Postby harripete » 20 Mar 2013, 14:28

Hi
Im trying to fix the girlfriends pink ghds.
I whipped them apart and discovered the part that has blown isnt the usual. The part code shown on the pcb is "fu1" I thinks (its pretty chared)

Ive lookes around and cant. Figure what this is (I assume a resistor)
Can anyone help?

Cheers
Pete.

Hi Pete,

You'll be pleased to hear that part does occasionally fail on 4.0Bs for some reason and we have had just enough enough demand to stock it on our shop:

Score. Thanks for your help.
Is that pary available elsewhere such as maplins? It just means I can go fetch rather than waiting for postage.

Thanks again

Pete.

Hi Pete,

Not that I'm aware of.

We had to buy an MOQ from one of the catalogue distributors.

Gary.
Thanks
I'll test with a piece of wire first and point the misses to the shop page.

Cheers

Hi Pete,

For testing purposes you could replace it with a single strand of wire from 7 strand multistrand hook up wire. This will fuse at around an amp.
