replaced heaters now getting a bit of smoke when straitening

hi i have recently replaced the heaters on my ghd 4.2p and they work find but im getting slight smoke from them. there where 2 cardboard looking things in with the heaters and i was wondering if i have put them back in the right place? help please. many thanks

Did you order the heaters from us?

Did you reattach the thermistor correctly?

Are the wires soldered or screwed to the PCB?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "cardboard looking things". Can you describe them further?
