My GHDs are making a Crackling Noise. Are they safe to use?
The noise you can hear is electricity arcing inside your GHDs. This is bad! You should stop using them and get them repaired, as they could fail completely and sometimes this can involve a loud bang and/or a small fire.
To get them repaired you can either do it yourself by working through the relevant debugging guide for your model of GHD:
